(Alex Gamero is the owner of DiscoveringBelize.com and has lost count of how many hotels and resorts in Belize he's visited.) This resort is located north of San Pedro town. You have to take a water taxi, which runs about every hour, to get in and out of town. On weekends there are boats that run late at night in case you want to stay late in any of the bars in town. The advantage of being north of town is the seclusion. It's quiet and tranquil. The resort has a thatched roof cabana theme giving it a tropical and casual atmosphere. Some nice cabanas line the beach that are great for couples. After the cabanas you'll find the pool with an indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the pool. Their bar is right beside the pool always serving a variety of drinks. Beside the pool there are several 2 story buildings with suite accomodations, in the tatched roof style. There are 1 and 2 bedroom suites (the bedrooms are private) with full kitchens, living rooms and private balconies. The ones on the second floor are nicer because they have vaulted ceilings. There is also a second pool infront of these suites. The property covers a lot of beachfront (some if it is seawall) and is dotted by palm trees and gardens. It's claim to fame is that it was part of the set for the show Temptaion Island. I recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a nice resort with a tropical atmoshpere in the quieter beaches north of San Pedro town.
