This resort is located in the heart of the Mountain Pine Ridge Forests Reserve, where pine forests blanket the Maya Mountains lined by river valleys and high mountain peaks. This resort is located on the slopes of the Privason River valley. From the resort you can take a tram down to the river (or go down the long steps). Once at the river you'll be greted by 5 beautiful waterfalls, hence the name of the resort, Five Sisters. There is a gazeebo facing the waterfalls and a lounge area for relaxing and taking in the breathaking scenery. The gazeebo is also a perfect place for a wedding. Upstream is Big Rock waterfall, a huge waterfall, if you're up for a long hike. But swimming around five sisters falls and its surrounding pools is just as fun. The resort itself consists of thatched roof cabanas spread around the property. Several of the cabanas have beautiful views across the river valley and the waterfalls below. They are comfortable with nice accents. Together with the price and great location, it makes this resort a great value. The restaurant has a wrap around deck with one of the best views of the valley. A new addition is their Riverside Villa, a beautiful villa right beside the river in a tranquil and secluded part of the property. It has 2 bedrooms with rich wood furnishings, spacious wooden decks, full kitchn, small library and tastefully decorated. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good value in a jungle lodge located in a very nice setting.
