April 23, 09 - "We wanted to take a special trip to a special place, and Belize turned out to be just the right destination! Having never been to Belize before we were quite overwhelmed when first starting to plan the trip on our own. Then we came across Discoveringbelize.com. From our very first e-mail exchange with Alex, he was very attentive to our questions and concerns and helped us to plan out the details for our special vacation. We wanted to have a little bit of adventure as well as a relaxing beach vacation and we ended up with just the right combination of both. First we stayed for 3 nights at Hidden Valley Inn in the Mountain Pine Ridge district. We loved the resort and the "at home" atmosphere that we felt during our stay. From here we were able to explore the Mayan ruins of Caracol and also ATM cave. Both excursions were spectacular and Alex hooked us up with very capable and professional guides for each. We spent the beach part of our trip at Turtle Inn in Placencia for 4 nights. The setting of Turtle Inn is amazing and the staff and resort itself is top notch. We enjoyed a beautiful snorkel trip and barbecue out to Silk Cayes on one of the days while in Placencia. The rest of the time was spent relaxing on the beach or by the pool and strolling about the charming village.
Alex took care of all the details of our trip from the first day we arrived in Belize City, where he met us at the airport. All of the guides that he set us up with were very hospitable and willing to show us around their beautiful country. The only regret we had is that we wished we had been able to spend more time in Belize- we're already looking forward to our next trip!

March 24, 09 - "My first trip to Belize was not booked with Alex...if only I had known! My subsequent trips, my daughter's honeymoon, family special occasions, and my latest girlfriend trip have been under his incredible care and it makes all the difference in the world. Alex is completley hands-on from start to finsih...even to the point of accomodating addtional requests during the trip and making things happen when sponteneity strikes. Because he is astute enough to ask the right questions, you will get just the right excursions within your budget, just the right lodging within your budget and just the right everything that is "within your budget" wihout feeling like you ever missed out on a thing. They all know him and respect him...I, for one, understand first hand that there is a reason for that!"

February 15 , 09 - "It feels like just yesterday we were in Belize, but as you can tell from the title of our review, it's been a good while. Our trip encompassed all that we could ask of Belize. From the Mayan Ruins, to cave tubing, zip lining, reef fishing and snorkeling with sharks and sting rays in San Pedro. Alex and the DiscoveringBelize staff made this all possible and ensured that our schedule and events were seamless. They also provided a personal touch that made the experience more like visiting local friends that knew all the right people instead of working with a travel organizer. All of the tour guides that DiscoveringBelize set us up with were top notch and very knowledgeable of their country. DiscoveringBelize blew our expectations out of the water!"
Why did you choose www.DiscoveringBelize.com? "Well, Alex, we selected your services because it was the only one we found with a chat session, which made it very helpful. Your attentiveness to our interests sealed the deal. Thanks for the great experience. Keep up the good work!"

October 15, 08 - "Hi Alex,
It was great meeting you and your family on our trip to belize. We are getting back into the RUT of work and everyday living and haven't downloaded any pictures yet. Rich is out of town already on a work related trip and I am still unpacking and organizing our treasures. Plan to download this weekend and I'll share asap. Thanks again for helping me organize this vacation (Rich was very pleased) and I have already referred two people to your website. The Punta Gorda portion was exceptional for us! Shereema is a treasure, too!
Best to you and yours,

October 4, 08 - "Our vacation to Belize exceeded both words and expectations, by far. While I could probably go on for days, I'll try to cut to the chase.
First of all, I'd never been out of the country, so to be honest, I was a little leery about going to a foreign country with my new wife. Much to my relief, Alex was very patient as he helped plan the entire vacation and just what we wanted. He was exceptionally helpful in that he not only helped plan but also kindly answered every single, silly question I had-- which were numerous. I just checked my email and we exchanged 42 by the time I finally figured out what we going to do on our trip.
And what was also great was that he answered our questions without ever once trying to influence our decision (just to make an extra buck).
The Trip:
The planning was great, but the trip was beyond words. Alex was able to meet us three times on our eight day vacation, and he was able to get us upgrades at two of our resorts and on our car (we went during raining season, which helps).
We went to Five Sisters, which is a wonder dropped into the middle of, literally, the jungle/forest. The resort and waterfalls were beautiful and the people were kind. Even the bugs we saw (which, as expected, were more than a few) were far, far outweighed in our eyes by the incredible experience overall.
Caracol ruins was beautiful; our guide, Sergio, was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the country and jungle, not just the ruins.
ATM cave was equally great. I enjoyed climbing around the rocks, we both were amazed by the cave formations, and our guide, JC, was again a bonus.
Our stay at the San Ignacio Hotel was a nice contrast to the jungle (with its AC and Flat Screen TV!!). The people were wonderful, the restaurant is deservedly well known, and the amenities were better than any hotel I've been in here in the states (which is usually 2-3 star).
Alex kindly met us for lunch before our trip down to Placencia and went to the airport with us.
Laru Beya was fantastic. Keeping in mind that we didn't go broke, it was as good as it gets. We never expected the view on the beach; the pool; the comfort, cleanliness, and luxury of the rooms; and the kindness of their staff to be as great as it was. I don't know how it could have been better.
For snorkeling, Silk Caye was lovely, just on the ride out. We lucked out (a lot) and saw manatees. Our guide, Ian, made a great lunch, and the fish, ray, and coral was unforgettable.
We highly recommend The Purple Space Monkey, especially for its food but also for Karaoke.
The town is a pretty nice, low key place, but we really didn't spend a lot of time there because we had such a great place at Laru Beya. We did go to the local Queen of The Bay Beauty Contest, held in a tent in the town park. It was really fun, and we were happy to be part of a local event where we got to experience a true Belize experience. We were also, of course, happy to not feel like/be treated outsiders, either.
Personally, I don't know how a trip could be better than the one we had to Belize. Of course, if you're looking for European History, London or Italy might be your place. But as far as a beautiful, relaxing Caribbean experience goes, Belize is the place. You obviously have to have the right expectation level; not everything is perfect and not everything and everywhere is as nice and pristine as most places in America. But that's part of the reason I thoroughly enjoyed the country.
Some other points: we rented a car for a few days, and I didn't think it was any trouble driving on the Western Highway whatsoever.
The water and food caused absolutely no trouble with us. In fact, we ate better most days there than we do at home. We even went to the grocery store and made our own dinner, salads, and smoothies.
Again, I can't say enough. But, I hope I have-- without going on for days. Woops, I guess I did that, too."
Why did you choose www.DiscoveringBelize.com? "It was your service, after the website caught our eye. I can't thank you enough for your patient and helpful responses to my confused questions. I know there were many!"

September 9, 08 - "We had a great time snorkeling in Belize. Alex did a super job setting up this shore excursion for us. Our family of 4 were on the Carnival Legend & desired a more personal experience when in Belize. The excursion he offered us was comparable in price to the ship's excursions but more unique & had a more compelling & personal touch. Alex was attentive in meeting us at the cruise ship, driving us to the airport (the flight from Belize City to San Pedro was worth the trip - beautiful sights overhead) & connecting us with Alphonso & Ellis at San Pedro. We learned alot about snorkeling from Alphonso & had an awesome experience as he described each fish, coral, stingray & shark. My husband & son had a chance to touch a shark. We enjoyed seeing the colorful fish & the underwater turtles. We hope to return to Belize & spend more time. If we do, we will certainly make more travel arrangements with Alex!"

August 24, 08 - "We just returned yesterday to the best vacation of our lifetime and we have had many! Initially we had difficulty arranging a date for our vacation due to our work schedules. When we finally had a date, it was right around the corner, but Alex expidited everything to make it happen. Alex arranged for a week at the Palms and the place was perfect. It included a kithenette that was equipped with everything we needed to cook the fish we caught while we were there. Though we did extensive research before deciding on a trip to Belize, we shudder to think what mistakes we would have made had Alex not arranged everything for us. From the transportation to San Pedro and back and the golf cart rental that was available the moment we checked in. Alex has a passion for his country and is very excited about sharing it's wonders and beauty with travelers. The truth is, he doesn't exaggerate. It was everything we read about and more. The locals are wonderful people and welcome you with open arms. Our fishing guide shared a lot of history with us. We enjoyed it so much we went fishing again! The weather was unbeatable but even if it had rained it wouldn't have changed our minds. It was comforting to know that we had Alex just a phone call away if we had any questions or concerns prior to our trip or while we were there. We never needed the number, but Alex called us mid week to make certain we were enjoying ourselves anyway. While we were a bit reluctent to leave, we did have the pleasure to meet him as he greeted us at the International airport. The smile we were greeted with was as unforgettable as our trip. It seemed he had enjoyed the week as much as we did. Thank you Alex! We will be back."
Why did you choose www.DiscoveringBelize.com? "The testimonials played a big part of the decision. Though Darrell wanted to book it in bits and pieces, I was more comfortable using someone with inside knowlage. I am glad we did. July 31 , 08 - "As a young traveler and a first timer to Belize I did not know what to expect. My soon to be husband and I started making plans, and were doing all online research (as we usually do), and we were finding plenty of information but could not decide completely on where to go and what to do. We accidentally came across Alex and quickly started emailing back and fourth. He surprised us with his persistence and wealth of information. He had personally been to each guest house and meet with each tour guide and knew exactly what they had to offer! He made a custom schedule for us based on what we like to do and what our budget was in an extremely short amount of time. When we finally arrived in Belize we were greeted by Alex's friendly and professional staff at the airport and delivered safely to our guest house (which was extremely clean and full of friendly people). We then took a guided Mayan ruins tour and learned so much about the culture. Our guide was just wonderful, knowledgeable and fun. We then went to a catamaran that Alex helped us find and had the time of our lives!!!
Alex even called to check up to make sure we were having a good time and had a genuine interest in our vacation.

| Bryon & his girlfriend on a fun sailing & snorkeling tour on Caye Caulker. |
|
|
July 31, 08 - "My girlfriend and I were looking for a week's vacation somewhere in the Caribbean or there abouts. At least some where tropical and sunny so we could get away from snowy South Dakota for a bit. I asked an old hippy that I work with who has traveled the world and he said without hesitation "Caye Caulker, Belize." So i looked into it and came across a few sites. Discovering Belize stood out. The price was right, Alex was easy to talk to and more than willing to help us put together an awesome itinerary.
We're really appreciative of him and his staff. The drive from the airport to the water taxi through Belize city was extra exciting. Thought I was gonna die. I'd have to say though, St. Lucian's are even worse drivers than Belizeans.
On a serious note though. Our trip was awesome! Hands down.
I can't say enough about the people of Caye Caulker. They were all soooo nice. We ate awesome meals the whole week. Drank great beers with the locals who treated us like friends. We only got asked for money once and that was some dude that had moved there from the States. Don Corleone's restaurant has the best Bruschetta in the world. We went snorkeling with Ras Creek who was one of the coolest dudes I ever met. The snorkeling was top notch! We swam with and held Rays and saw thousands of fish and some beautiful sea turtles. On the boat ride back, Ras cooked us up fresh Barracuda and rice. Also all the Conch Ceviche we could eat. And Rum Punch! We also went sailing which was great! I walked around the island barefoot the whole week. We sunned and swam at the split and drank at the Lazy Lizard. The only thing i would have liked more of is live music, but it was well worth it being on a small island, not packed with too many tourist. Over all Caye Caulker is great. I will definitely be going back sometime in the future."
Why did you choose www.DiscoveringBelize.com? "The site was well put together. The fact that it seems real personal and I had direct contact with Alex through email was great. The pictures and videos helped me see what it was like and where we'd be staying."

June 16 , 08 - "We had a great time in Belize. The Belizean Dreams was awesome. All staff members were very nice and took great care of us at the resort. On the day of the wedding, even though it was pouring rain, Yolaine did a wonderful job decorating! It stopped raining at 11 a.m. long enough for us to get married!!! I did not want to get back in the van the morning after we had arrived, but I am glad that I did. The Mayan ruins were like nothing that I had ever seen before. Turtle Inn in Placencia was very relaxing. Since it was raining the first two days the we were there, we took full advantage of the beach bar. Charlie, the bartender, was funny and we enjoyed visiting with him. I would love to go back to Belize in the future. Charlie suggested that we come in February so that we do not have to worry about the weather. Thanks for everything you have helped us with. |
July 30 , 08 - "We are a family of 22 people (ages 67 to 8) who took a cruise after Christmas 2007. One of the ports of call was Belize. We all decided we would like to do the cave rafting (some of us were a little leery, but we sucked it up!). Alex made all the arrangements for the necessary transportation for us to travel as a group. The drivers who picked us up at the dock were just great. We learned some very interesting facts on the drive to the caves. We were then introduced to our guides for the caving. Great guys! They took extra special care to ensure that our younger kids were safe and felt comfortable. It's pretty tough to keep 22 people together, but they did it. The cave trip is absolutely unbelievable and all we had hoped it would be. A very exciting day for all of us. At the end of our trip there was lunch waiting for us and it too was absolutely fabulous. We could not have asked for a better day in Belize and it would not have been as wonderful without Alex's help and his fabulous staff. Thanks to you all."
Why did you choose www.DiscoveringBelize.com? "I liked the way your tour was written up on the website. When I emailed you I got a response back immediately. August 1, 08 - "Although our trip to Belize was back around Easter, the memories are still as crystal clear as the waters we dove in. Alex was incredibly helpful in filling out a great array of activities and places to stay working around our visit to our son in San Ignacio. He listened and knew what was the right place to stay in San Pedro for father and son and guided us towards a great Dive Shop that took us to the Blue Hole and great wall dives. His assistant even held some extra bags at their Belize City office so we didnt need to take them back and forth on the water taxi. The greatest part of the trip was our family stay at a resort in Placencia that was the right balance of luxury and still feeling very Belizean. The only glitch was our originally scheduled guide to Caracol could not make it but he found someone else who was tremendous and felt part of the family by the end of the day. Hats off to Alex."

June 15, 07 - "We had the fortunate experience of being able to work with Alex from Discovering Belize! We went on carnival legend from Tampa on 05/06/07 and had little interest in any of the large group commercialized shore excursions offered for the port stop in Belize. Everyone told me not to go off independently as it wasn’t safe to go on anything other than cruise excursions. I took a chance. I was not going to go to Belize without seeing the reef in an uncrowned environment. All the other snorkel trips I had taken on cruise excursions were to places that were overcrowded with swimmers and no fish. Besides, they never took us very far away from where the cruise ship docked. I emailed Alex and he got right back to me. I was a royal pain with every question in the book. I was worried about it being safe, missing the cruise ship back, taking a little commuter flight, etc...He answered every question. I booked the trip and he emailed me the itinerary and passes. I honestly have to say we had more fun than we have ever had. We took a cab from the port with an ex police officer named Steve(ask for him-he was great!) . He safely got us to Maya Island Air for our little flight to San Pedro, where we debarked and met our captain Russell with Lil' Alphonso's Snorkel Tours. He was awesome! He is a trip and very knowledgeable - like an underwater Indiana Jones! He went and touched fish to get them out of caves and tempted them with food right from his hand. We saw tons of huge nurse sharks, all kinds of fish, and very unusual creatures such as the green moray eel, and tons of huge spotted eagle rays. It was only my husband and I and one other couple. As we got individual attention all day long and then we were safely escorted back to dock where we caught our flight back to Belize City and Steve picked us up again. Our day was nothing short of amazing. Alex from discovering Belize coordinated everything perfectly. Thanks Alex for keeping us safe and letting us really see Belize! You were great!"

We dove with whale sharks and snorkeled on excellent reef systems at the Galdden Spit. Some of our group had a great trip to Xuanantunich as well. Highly recommend Belize and sleepy Placencia."

May 9 , 07 - "Alex provided excellent service. The trip was very well organized and he was very helpful through out the planning process. We had a great time and Dilzon is a great guide. Even though it was windy (could have been in Kansas) Dilzon put us on fish and we caught a lot of nice fish. To me, when the weather was rough is when you need a good agent and fishing guide. Alex made a great choice in selecting Dilzon. All the vouchers worked flawlessly."

"Hi Alex! The trip was OUTSTANDING! Victoria house was top shelf….The private pool made the place. We were so, so on San Padro but the beach was very nice and the service at the hotel was good. Caye Chapel was absolutely perfect. The Villa layout and comfort was very nice… the beach was great….the golf was great….and the service was excellent. We actually got lucky and had the island to ourselves (on other guests) for about 48 hours. Even then there were only 9 other guests at the busiest. We will definitely do that one again. It fit our tastes nicely. Great trip! You definitely earned my trust and we’ll be talking again. Thanks for all you did to ease my mind and make this a great trip!"

April 30, 07 - "Wonderful country, at least on the cayes or islands as Belize City is a hole and dangerous I am told. Caye Chapel was our destination for a few days and it was wonderful and a bargain if you are a golfer. challenging course, great scenery , hardly anyone playing. food was superb. Caye caulker was our base for snorkeling and sailing. laid back, some great restaurants - i would put Don Corleone up against most other Italians outside of Italy, even though no veal available on the island, people are friendly and laid back. no shirt no shoes, no problem or safety issue. Only spent 1 night on san pedro but at a really nice hotel (Sunbreeze)on beach and night life was good there. also very good restaurants, including a sushi bar. san pedro is much bigger than the other two with more to do but depends what you a re looking for as the other 2 are really relaxed. prices are good on all 3 for what you get. Alex Gamero was great once we got to Belize - getting there is either half the fun or a bit of a pain depending on your outlook and mode, but Alex set up everything once we got there and all island transfers went smoothly and great fun. Hotels he selected were great and as advertised. He is trustworthy."

December 7, 07 - "First I like to thank Alex for setting up the Tours in Belize and picking us up at the airport, I had a nice Eco tour and workout at the ATM cave, and our stay at the Trek stop was nice seeing parrots and monkeys in the morning while you are having your morning coffee and we met alot of nice people there, and the ruins at Xunantunich, was awesome wish we got to see more of them. Caye Caulker was nice was the first time snorkling two days in a row, the weather was nice, except for a few rain showers, but it did not get in the way also met some nice people out there and the locals are nice to you, if you have lunch and dinner at the Bamboo seemed to be the place to hang out and figure out your next day, and Thanksgiving dinner was nice cruising around the Island on Ras Creeks boat we had lobster for thanksgiving and also a Tropic Air plane was about to land and it passed about 15ft above the boat, the timing was awesome it made my day as the day was about to end. I would like to go back if I could find someone to travel with and see and do more things out there..........Mike"

"Hi Alex... Well we've been home a couple of days now and are trying to readjust to
the cold snowy weather-YUK! Just wanted to let you know that we had a
fantastic holiday and will definitely be going back to Belize. So many
people we've talked to about our trip are interested in going there too
so I hope I can send some business your way.
The highlight of the trip was our tour to the ATM cave. It was beyond
words!!! We loved every minute of it. We also loved the Five Sisters
Lodge. Our room was great, the scenery was awesome, the staff very friendly and
the food was good. I don't know what the people were talking about when
they said the food was terrible!? We went for breakfast at Blancaneaux
on our way out. What a beautiful place.
Laru Beya was nice, good food and friendly staff. Disappointed with the
beach there as it was full of seaweed and tons of garbage that drifted
ashore in the surf. We've never seen anything like it and we've travelled
extensively in the south. It's too bad that the locals have such a disrespect
for the environment in such a beautiful location. Placencia was okay but
a bit boring. Four days was too long there. We went snorkeling at Laughing
Bird Caye. It was quite good but I think we expected a more spectacular reef.
We did see a ray and lots of barracuda. We went to dinner at the Turtle Inn-
beautiful place. Hiked in the Cockscomb Basin late in the day and saw a
tapir, crocodile and jaguar tracks. Interesting place.
We stopped at the Baboon Sanctuary on our way to the Black Orchid. It
too was an interesting stop. We loved our stay at the Black Orchid. Our
room was very nice, food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff
was very friendly. Parts of the hotel were a bit run down but we still had
a good time-swam in the pool and canoed on the river.
All in all, everything went very well. The Belizeans were very friendly
and it was great to be able to speak to them in English.
On our next trip we want to come for 2 weeks and see Lamanai, Crooked
Tree and Tikal and spend some time on Caye Caulker or Amgergris Caye.
We're definitely interested in coming later in March when we can
snorkel with the whale sharks.
Thank you for your help in putting together the holiday. We'll be in
touch next year when we return...
Laurie"

I wanted to thank you for your help, the place is very beautiful, the sea incredible, and we very much liked the atmosphere of the island, and The Palms is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the view of the sea at any time. "Hi Alex...As you know, I was in Costa Rica for 2 weeks prior to heading for Belize. Had a really good time up there. Went on zip line, rode horses down to volcanic mud baths and hot springs, rafting, nature walks etc.
When I arrived in Belize, I walked across the parking lot and picked up my car. The Jimmy has a much higher wheel base than my little car so I had to get used to it. I wanted to get to the Maya Center while it was still light so I didn't do much stopping on the way. I had my map and one from the car dealership so I was in pretty good shape except for the lack of signs for the streets. Overshot the Southern Highway by about 6 miles, but that was OK.
Got to the cabins and checked in and after a rest was kind of "adopted" by the kids. I had kept a book for them and so gave it to them and then was working on some crossword puzzles. They became fascinated and then tried doing some as well. They ended up with the rest of the book.
Had all my meals at the Center. Found the fry jack interesting in that it is just like our Indians' fry bread and the puris of the East Indians. We went to the preserve the next morning. It was quite a walk. The swim in the pool at the base of the waterfall was really refreshing. While we were having lunch, there was a young woman with a dog who was in training to locate jaguars as well a man shooting video of a young woman walking through a large mass of butterflies. Pretty interesting. Went for night hike the same evening and saw a few interesting things. No jaguars, but didn't really expect it even though I would have loved it.
Next morning I headed back to Cave Branch and got checked in. Liked the cabanas or whatever I was in. No lights except in the bathroom. Screened walls on three sides. A hammock and chairs on the porch. Beautiful setting. As I said earlier, most people there were quite a bit younger than I but it was fine. I enjoyed walking around ground and was surprised that the river was dry. With all the rain, I would have thought there would be some! I found the way the meals were handled fun but the food not particularly exciting. The soup was really good but the rest was OK but not particularly exciting. Had it not been as costly, perhaps the quality would have been less of a matter. Frankly, it wasn't bad and not something that would keep me from recommending Caves Branch to anyone else.
The tubing was fun. I had talked water shoes but they were not what they said we should wear so I used the other shoes I had with me. Unfortunately, they tended to be slippery on the smooth rocks. It worked though. It was rather fun having lunch inside the cave. Lots of interesting people to talk to and the staff was very friendly.
When I left Caves Branch, I drove to Cheers for lunch and then on to the Baboon Sanctuary. I was surprised to find that the baboon were actually howler monkeys who had apparently been misnamed by the early European settlers. At any rate, it was fun to walk down and actually see a family up close and personal. A sister and brother came down the tree when called and our guide was feeding a mango to the male and then asked me if I wanted to do so as well. Yes. The other couple with us didn't want to get that close, so I just got to stay longer. I had no idea that the hands were so soft. That had to be a highlight for me.
All in all, the trip was fine and I managed on my own quite well. I found the lack of street signs a little disconcerting but no real problem. If I had been able to stay longer, I would have been more able to move around and dig out things on my own more but time was a factor. I head from many that the diving was excellent and it would have been fun to add some snorkeling to the trip. Oh well, it isn't as if I haven't done it before.
Since I neglected to take a memory stick for my camera with me, I have no pictures unfortunately. I just have to use my memory or hope I can get some from someone or something else later.
I enjoyed myself and thank you for your help in setting everything up. Sincerely, Carol"

March 18 , 08 - "When I looked at finding a vacation destination Belize literally jumped off the map! With so many things to see and do in Belize I was a little worried at picking the right ones...I wanted "the most bang for my buck" so to speak, and DiscoveringBelize.com helped me have an incredible trip! Once I arrived at the airport they were there with a private car waiting to take me to my destination, which cost no more than any other taxi! Alex, from DiscoveringBelize.com, is very knowledgeable about the country and its islands and acted as my personal trip coordinator. He booked my transportation, hotel, and even some of my trips once I was there.
I will admit that I was a little hesitant about everything at first, but after seeing his level of professionalism and attention to detail I'm glad that I choose to make my vacation happen with DiscoveringBelize.com!"

March 23, 08 - "We did have a really good time. I really enjoyed Hidden Valley and the remoteness of it. It was very different than anything I've done. We loved the private waterfall day. It was great. We wished we had a little more time at the beach. I appreciate all the time you spent with me planning the trip and your very personalized service. It was great. The only thing we were not prepared for is the very long drive to Hidden Valley an then to the ATM tour. It was like 2 hours each way. Also, I would tell you clients that the ATM cave is pretty physically challenged. No one expected it to be what it was. I loved it, but if I were older or in worse shape, I may have felt differently. Thanks for everything."

March 25 , 08 - "Alex: My wife, daughter and I had a great trip to Belize. WE stayed at Lara Beyu and it was everyting you promised. The village of Placentia was laid back just enough, but there were enough bars and restuarants to make it great. The people were freindly and there there were NO panhadlers or people begging or trying to sell you something. We went on the jaguar jungle trip and had a great guide, we floated down the river throu the jungle and did the waterfall slides as well. We visited monkey jungle and saw manatees. We went out to the laughing caye for some snorkling and had a great time. I think the snorkeling was my wifes favorite. If you ever need references give me a call."

"Alex -
Sarah and I are home now and I wanted to let you know that aside from the foul weather the trip went great. We commented to each other several times during the trip as to how all the details were handled perfectly. We were greeted at the Belize City Airport and taken to the water taxi with our tickets in hand. Upon arriving at the dock in San Pedro there was a man waiting to take us to the Palms. We were greeted by the staff at the Palms and our room was beautiful and better than agreed.
Abby the fishing guide was on time on Friday and the experience with him was very good. He was very good to place us in position to see and catch a lot of Bonefish. Our flight out of San Pedro was uneventful which is always a good thing and our return trip to the Carolinas went off without a hitch.
Thanks again Alex and I do think we will return to Belize in the future. In the event that we do return you will be one of the first to know...
Again many thanks.
Your friend, Conley"

"We were in Belize from 15-23 June. Stayed at Crystal Paradise for the first 3 days and had a wonderful, relaxing few days. Victor and his crew did everything possible to make our stay fun and enjoyable. The food was great and the quiet, remote area was heaven. The next 6 days we were in the town of San Pedro and what can you way about island life---it's great. Totally different from the quiet of the jungle but exciting and of course the water. Very nice. The rooms at The Palms were great. Had a great view of the ocean and close to everything that you would want to do.The service from DiscoveringBelize.com was great. We can't say enough about Reggie and his wife. They were absolutely great. They were so informative about the country, helped us with all our transportation, were just accomodating in every way. Great personalities, just great people. Alex, you were great in helping us pick tours and getting everything set up. We had no worries, all was taken care of. We would definitely go again. One thing, we never had any written confirmations on any of our rooms, tours, or tranportation. It wasn't a problem with Reggie by our side but would have been nice in case anyone needed papers. But maybe that's the way things are done in your country. Like I said it wasn't a problem. Everything was great."
Why did you choose www.DiscoveringBelize.com? "Because you took the time to call us and talk to us personally. You were very patient with us and very informative about the tours, prices and places. You kept in touch and I like that. It makes things more personal."

"This was my husband and my second trip to Belize as we initially came here for our honeymoon five years ago. We decided on Belize as my parents had frequented this amazing country. In saying that, we put all of our faith into Alex to prepare the honeymoon of all honeymoons (no pressure, it is only the biggest vacation in a new couple's life). To no avail, Alex provided us with an experience of a lifetime. SO much so, we decided to have an encore performance in visiting this country again with the aid of Alex for our 5th anniversary. I hate to say it, but this trip was even better. Alex set EVERYTHING up for us from our connecting flights from Belize City to San Pedro, to our stay at Ramon's Village (he convinced us to stay at this paradise.... great choice) and the excursions/trips we took while there. It was an amazing trip and I cannot boast about it enough. We are both teachers and have a 3 year old and a 2 year old so there were a lot of stipulations: 1) we don't have much time away from babies 2) we have no money and need the biggest bang for our buck and 3) we have good taste, but no funds to back it.....
Alex setup this one trip that truly sealed the vacation. It was with SEAduced and they took us on a day long cruise and snorkel. The guides were amazing and we saw sea turtles and great snorekling spots with lunch at Caye Caulker.
Another thing Alex setup for us on our anniversary day was a couple's massage at Asian Spa and Garden behind Ramon's. That was incredibly romantic and a perfect end to a great Belizean day.
My husband and I want to go back now. We plan on using Alex for everything again....he is so personable and really listens to your needs of a vacation in the world's great paradise of Belize.
You Better Belize it!"
